Microdermabrasion


With the modern microdermabrasion treatment a fine jet of sterile microcrystals (alumina) is sucked painlessly past the skin with the help of advanced equipment. By this dead and damaged skin cells in the epidermis are removed. How much is removed from the epidermis depends on the adjustment selected on the basis of the skin diagnosis. During a consultation we analyze the target area and gear the treatment to this.

Microdermabrasion is a must for each skin asking for rejuvenation or improvement and can be applied with:

* skin ageing;
* scars;
* acne;
* wrinkles;
* smokers’ skin;
* pigmentation;
* subcutaneous sebum accumulation.

By making the epidermis thinner the skin is stimulated to produce new cells making it smoother, more perfused and elastic.

After-care
After the treatment the skin should be taken care of as follows:
* take care of the skin as indicated;
* keep the treated skin clean with PH-neutral products;
* the treated skin is more sensitive than usual; prevent excessive exposure to sunlight up to two weeks after the treatment; protect the skin with a high protection factor (minimum of SPF 20);
 * do not use any make-up up to 24 hours after the treatment.
