Manicure


Soap, shampoos and other degreasing chemicals, apart from nail polish remover and water, extract the natural oils from the nail making the nails less flexible and brittle at that. That is why it is important for you to take good care of your nails.

You can have your hands manicured professionally by us on top of which your nails are taken care of and polished if so desired. The manicure also includes a nice hand and under arm massage.

Manicure (at home)
With these products you can also keep your nails in optimum condition at home.

First of all it is important to clean your nails well, preferably with a nail polish remover free of acetone.
After that you apply cuticle remover to the cuticles to remove fused cuticles. After 3 minutes of soaking in you remove the superfluous cuticles of the nail plate.  Then push back the skin around the nails carefully with a clean tarbrush. If you have time, give your hands a treatment with the special Trind Pampering Hand Soak in warm water for about 5 minutes as well. This process softens and cleans the hands, nails, cuticles and the nail edges. Dry the hands and nails thoroughly afterwards.
Now polish the nails with the Nail Magic Buffer, the 3-sided polishing file. After that you file your nails in the desired shape with the Professional Glass File. By filing instead of cutting the nail edge is sealed so dirt cannot penetrate the nail. Always file in one direction. Start on the side and work towards the middle of the nail. Make long, flowing filing movements and do not ‘saw’ into the nail to preclude any cracks. Finally apply a layer of Nail Balm to each nail. This balm provides the proper moisture content in the nail and nourishes the nail at the same time with the important ingredient biotin.

Torn/brittle nails
If you get brittle and/or cracked nails, we will advise you to use Trind Nail Repair. This product forms as a base coat a protective layer against pigments in nail polish, takes care of and strengthens the natural nails.

Nail 'facts'
Nails grow continuously, about 0.05-0.1 mms a day on average. The total growth of a healthy nail takes about half a year and runs from the matrix to the free edge. With young people nails grow faster than toe nails. In Summer under the influence of more sunlight (ultraviolet rays) the growth rate increases. The growth rate is dependent on many other factors. Playing the piano or working on a keyboard and biting one’s nails increase the growth rate. Slackening of the growth rate may be caused by working with chemicals (cleansing agents), using medication, high fever, bad diet and smoking. The nails of the hand we use the most also grow faster than those of the other hand. The nail of the middle finger grows fastest and that of the thumb grows slowest.
